Everyone's favorite sneaky boi.

This amazingly detailed model was designed by 3DArtGuy and takes inspiration from the Grimdark universe's Raven Lord; Corvus Corax, Primarch of the XIXth Legion Astartes, the Raven Guard

Corax is remembered as one of the most enigmatic and tragic figures of the Horus Heresy. Born on the oppressive mining world of Deliverance (formerly Lycaeus), Corax was raised amidst political prisoners who had been forced into slavery by their conquerors. There, he learned not only the arts of stealth and sabotage but also the values of freedom, justice, and rebellion.

When the Emperor found Corax, he bestowed to him command of the XIX Legion, the Raven Guard. Under Corax’s leadership, the Raven Guard became specialists in infiltration, ambush, and rapid-strike warfare. Their tactics embodied their Primarch’s philosophy: precision, patience, and striking from the shadows to eliminate threats with minimal cost to human life.

During the Horus Heresy, Corax and his Legion suffered devastating losses at the Drop Site Massacre on Istvaan V, where the Raven Guard, alongside other loyalist Legions, were betrayed and nearly annihilated by Horus’s forces. Determined to rebuild his shattered Legion, Corax turned to the Emperor’s own genetic sciences, creating accelerated Space Marines to replenish his forces. However, the process was flawed, leading to mutations and tragic failures that haunted Corax for the rest of his life.

Despite these setbacks, Corax continued to fight against the traitors with relentless determination. After the Heresy, burdened by guilt for the corrupted warriors he had created, Corax left the Imperium, disappearing into the Eye of Terror with the vow: “Never more.” His ultimate fate remains unknown, adding to the mystery and legend of the Raven Guard’s shadowed Primarch.
